After all that furor, we're finally at the end of Cheese in the Trap, and it's a decidedly muted affair. Is it a terrible finale? I don't think it's quite that.
Viewers who read the webtoon of the Cheese in the Trap can see the difference between the ending of the drama and the webtoon. In the drama, it's an open ending but this is not the case for the webtoon. The webtoon ends in a happy tone.

What about the ending? Park said, "I don't know how the ending will be. There are a lot of instances where we filmed things that didn't air, so even I will have to watch the broadcast to know. But since it's a drama I appeared in, I hope it will wrap up well."
And the finale is here at last, and for the first time ever I ended up skipping through a lot of it. It pained me to do so given how much I'd enjoyed Cheese but the last thing I wanted was to watch the same old conflicts play out in the same way (a love story is about…
Review: Cheese in the Trap [SPOILERS] Last night I knowingly made the mistake of watching Episode 14 of webtoon-based Kdrama Cheese in the Trap. I expected it to be a mistake because given how compelling the drama is and how in love with it I already am, starting Episode 14 would mean binge watching all through the Episode 16 finale.
Cheese in the Trap Kdrama does not have the usual explicit happy ending. This is a "different" Korean drama unlike other dramas in the same genre of romance drama . The ending is unexpected and kept open.
There were many times were I just wanted to stop watching the show, but I had to know how it would end. My biggest issue was probably the male lead, Yoo Jung. With regards to the actor playing him, he did a really good job.

"Cheese in the Trap" is a 2016 South Korean drama series directed by Lee Yoon Jung. It is based on a webtoon written by Soon Ggi. This series marks the television debut for film actress Kim Go Eun.
The ending seemed really random and I've seen people say the ending of the show is even worse. The chapter technique to tell the story just wasn't doing it for me, but maybe it works better in the drama.

the kdrama ending with jung & seol broken up and passing by each other while crossing the street iirc and in the new bonus episodes that are coming out, the author did the same thing but with seol and inho passing by each other, this happened in the july issue!considering the kdrama gave inho more screen time than jung lol

"Cheese in the Trap" ending on a happy note except for Park Hae-jin and Kim Go-eun. Advertisement. On the final episode of the tvN drama "Cheese in the Trap", Yoo Jeong (Park Hae-jin) left Hong Seol for a while because he thought she was getting hurt because of him and then came back.
The 16 episode K-drama captivated fans, and wrote their own ending since the comic didn't have an ending by the end of the show. Bringing the magic of two university students going from enemies to lovers to life, Cheese in the Trap is an adorable rom-com that anyone who loves K-dramas should watch.
